I hereby agree to breed the mare named below to the stallion ___________________
By transported, cooled semen for the 2012 season subject to the following conditions:

The Stallion Service Fee is $1000.00 payable in full before any semen will be shipped.
A copy of the front and back of the registration papers must accompany contract.
A deposit for the use of the Equitainer will be $250.00 or Credit Card on record, payable before any semen will be shipped.
This will be refunded after the Equitainer and all of its parts have been returned in good condition.
Mare owner is responsible for the cost of returning the container.
The Equitainer will be returned to Best Farms within a week (7) days, after that a daily rental charge of $10.00 will be deducted from the deposit.

Semen will be shipped Federal Express or UPS next day air.
A collection and lab fee of $250.00 will be charged for shipments, which includes shipping cost. This is payable by mare owner BEFORE any semen will be shipped.
Best Farms must be notified 24 hours prior to the date and time the semen is to be shipped.
Mare owner is responsible for having a certified veterinarian experience in cooled semen inseminate the mare.
Breeding season for shipping semen begins 2/1/12 and closes 6/15/12 at which time all shipments will be discontinued.

If the mare fails to conceive on the second shipment, a culture is required. This is to save you time and money.
Mare Owner is responsible for pregnancy checking the mare on or before 18 days and notifying Best Farms of the results.
The stallion service fee on transported semen is non-refundable. However, Best Farms does give a
"Live Foal Guarantee" "Live Foal" is defined as a foal that stands and nurses without assistance after foaling. If the contracted mare does not settle or aborts the first year, Best Farms will reship the following year to the mare or to a substitute mare. If that mare does not settle, Best Farms will only honor an "on the premises" breeding. Meaning the mare must be delivered to Best Farms for breeding. Standard breeding contract will apply.
Best Farms must be notified within one week, from the date of foaling, that a rebreeding is desired. A statement must accompany this notice, by a Veterinarian, as to the absents of a live foal and the breeding condition of the mare.

Mare owner or authorized representative will complete and sign this contract, enclosed applicable fees, and copy of registration papers and return them to Best Farms. It will be a binding contract on both parties subject to above terms and conditions.
This contract is nontransferable.

This contract is entered into the State of Michigan and will be interpreted and enforce under the laws of the State.
